SCENIC FINISHING
F&D’s Paint Department, led by Head Scenic Coordinator Dana Schnirer and Head Scenic Artist Chuck Hughes, coordinate a team of artists, skilled craftspeople and journeymen/women who work together to bring life to the scenic elements of theatrical shows, theme parks, malls, restaurants, airports, zoo’s and museums.
Working directly with designers, architects, directors and associates, F&D’s capable paint department is able to create faux surfaces, painted back drops, collaged and textured scenery from photo reference and research, storyboards and colour elevations. Each step of the creation process is sampled and carefully coordinated ensuring these elements are crafted to meet the design specifications of the project, durability and overall vision of the client.
Our certification and licence by the State of California for the use of FireTect products as well as testing procedures enables us to meet your flameproof requirements. Whether working from aerial lifts, scaffolding or painting backdrops on a floor, our team offers the ability to work safe, versatile and / or flexible with the size or location of the project.
