Drawn to Life – Cirque du Soleil

Drawn to Life provided a wonderful opportunity for our fiberglass, paint, automation and electrical departments to have some real fun! For this immersive circus show, the audience experiences the world of design and animation on a large scale. F&D fabricated a giant articulated lamp with a lightbulb, jumbo pencils topped with erasers, a pencil sharpener and holder.

The light bulb has integrated LED lights and is fully articulated for movement of the lamp head and support arm. The pencil sharpener’s arm turns mimicking a real-life pencil sharpener. The final step in any project is the scenic paint, which really brings the pieces to life.

All stages of this project were completed in-house by our talented team.
