Calgary Zoo Wild Canada

In 2023, F&D fabricated and installed the themed signage and the play space as part of the incredible Wild Canada YYC redevelopment at the Calgary Zoo. The expansive new Polar Bear habitat is home to Baffin and Siku, bears rescued near Churchill, Manitoba and also features 15 other Canadian species and 6 newly renovated habitats. Signage for this exhibit was fabricated using a variety of materials and layered approaches that integrate texture, colour, and shapes throughout the journey.

Wild Canada is not only groundbreaking in terms of the habitat provided for these animals, but also in the education, theme works, and visitor experience. F&D is so proud to be part of this world-class habitat amongst a long list of talented vendors including Metro Graphics, Graffiti Imaging, artist Michelle Atkinson, Creative Machines, Chandos Construction and PCL.
