Cold Lake Parade Float

In 2015 F&D Scene Changes was commissioned to build a parade float for the City of Cold Lake, AB to use in their local Canada Day Parade and Santa Clause Parade.  Our designers, painters, sculptors and management team worked closely with Cold Lake city team to ensure this float would reflect the spirit of their community.

The feature image of this float is Cold Lake’s Legend of Kinosoo – symbolized by the Giant Trout jumping from the water toward the canoe.  The sculpted trout was created in-house with the cooperation of our designers, sculptors, and painters.  Made of foam and hard coat, this sculpture has a clear coat that protects the artistry of this hand painted, air brushed sculpture.  Graphics depicting 4 Wing-inspired fighter jets, strands of lights around the canoe and a sign with a customizable message sit on a 8 ½ x 20 foot trailer.
