Project Description
City of Calgary – Outflow
Public Art Project, Parkdale Plaza (along the Bow River)
Artist – Brian Tolle
Fabricated and installed by F&D Scene Changes
Completed in June 2015
This project is part of the City of Calgary’s stormwater system along the Landscape of Memory in Parkdale Plaza. The inverted replica of Mount PeeChee is constructed of Ductal, a high performance concrete product, and required an extensive research and development process during the sculpting and casting process. Due to high amounts of public access, it also functions as a handrail for visitors and complies with all design and safety requirements as outlined by the project team.
