Calgary Zoo – Gateway to Asia

With the departure of the Panda’s in November 2020, F&D Scene Changes was asked to assist the Calgary Zoo with the repurposing of this space to create the newly designated Gateway to Asia. Mindful of timing and budget, F&D capitalized on individual elements that could be seamlessly swapped out from Panda Passage and redesigned to a generic Asian theme. Though we were required to reinvent many of the interpretive aspects of this exhibit, both the interior and exterior spaces were quickly updated and refreshed with special attention to an interior pool for the Tapir.
